He authored several books, including<i> La Cuisson du Homard, Le Roman d\u2019Odessa, Le Roman d\u2019Isra\u00ebl, <\/i>and<i> Isra\u00ebl peut-il survivre\u00a0? <\/i> An interview on his poignant essay on Holocaust memories, <i>Le Devoir de M\u00e9moire<\/i>, was recently broadcast by France 2 channel.<\/p><p>Gurfinkiel is a Fellow of the Middle East Forum . He teaches Jewish religious history at Coll\u00e8ge des Bernardins, the Catholic Religious Advanced Studies Centre in Paris.<\/p><p>He sits on the boards of Consistoire central (the National Union of French Synagogues), Consistoire de Paris (the Union of Synagogues in Paris), and S\u00e9minaire isra\u00e9lite de France (the French Rabbinical School).
